Harold "Wimpy" Robey's Obituary
Harold “Wimpy” Robey age 78 of Leesburg, VA passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Capital Hospice in Arlington, Virginia.
Harold was born on November 16, 1932 in Herndon. He was a son of the late Benjamin Robey and the late Mary Sanders Robey.
Mr. Robey worked in the restaurant business. He was a general manager for Kentucky Fried Chicken traveling across the country to open new stores.
He was predeceased by his wife of 35 years, the late Frances Lorraine Pendergraft Robey. Mr. Robey was also predeceased by his siblings Sonny, James, and Dorothy and a daughter Peggy.
Surviving are daughters, Bertha Leslie of Springfield, OR, Molly Lorraine Manus of Alabama and Janet Moore of Lovettsville, VA; and sons, Kenneth Evans of Ken Bridge, VA, Jimmy Payne of Leesburg, VA and Jerry Payne of Leesburg, VA; sisters, Gloria Jones of Arcola, VA, Betty Jane Marr of Sterling, VA and Gladys Stinson of Maurertown, VA; brother, Billy Robey of Boyce, VA, 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and other family and friends.
The family received friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Monday, July 25, 2011, at Brown- Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 34 East Broad Way, Lovettsville, VA.
Graveside services and Interment were held at 3:00 PM on Monday at Lovettsville Union Cemetery with the Rev. Roland England officiating.
