Harry Zagorites' Obituary
Harry J. Zagorites, 56, of Leesburg, VA, died on Thursday, February 21, 2013.
He was born on July 25, 1956 in Lowell, MA. Professionally, Harry dedicated his life to photography and art. Most recently, Harry was Advertising photo studio Director for Macy’s Mid-West, and Hecht’s Mid-Atlantic. Harry graduated from Dracut High School. He attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and graduated from the New England School of Photography. He started his career in Boston before moving to the DC area.
He was the beloved husband of Jane (Longval) Zagorites, devoted father of his daughter, Alexa Zagorites and his son, Peter and his wife Angela Zagorites; loving Papi of Charlotte, Genevieve, Rocco, and Roman. He is also survived by his mother, Rita (Brunelle) Zagorites; brothers, Peter, and his wife, Linda Zagorites, Brian and his wife, Melissa Zagorites; sister, Darlene Zagorites; sisters-in-law, Louise, and her husband, Larry West, and Meryl Longval; brothers-in-law Mark Longval, and David Longval. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to cherish his memory.
Harry was predeceased by his father, Peter Zagorites, and his sister Brenda, and her husband Jack Patterson.
The family received friends on Thursday, February 28 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle SE, Leesburg VA.
A funeral service was held at Saint Michael’s Church, 543 Bridge Street, Lowell, MA on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 10 am. Burial to be private.
