Harry Lee Edwards' Obituary
Harry (Tots) Edwards born September 11, 1919 and died on November 9, 2006 at his home with family. He was born and raised in Waterford, VA and lived there full time until 1996 when he built his second home in Lovettsville.
He is survived by his wife Leola (Weedie) Edwards, his daughter Carolyn Speaks and son in law Calvin Speaks, granddaughter Linda Tribby and grandson in law, Brian Tribby and his great granddaughter Rose Lynn Tribby all of Lovettsville, VA, and grandchildren Allen Speaks of Martinsburg, WV and Debra Speaks of Ranson, WV. Mr. Edwards was blessed to have had the most wonderful caregivers that have become part of his family, Kwasi and Diana Ofaci.
He grew up on a dairy farm and worked in retail for many years running the Hub, S&R Chevrolet and construction with his son in law.
He enjoyed attending auctions and telling folks of the history of Loudoun County and of the people and stories he knew. He was a huge baseball fan. Before his illness he could be found on his porch in Waterford and offered a gathering spot for neighbors to come and meet.
He was an avid lover of horses and animals. He served in WWII in the Battle of the Bulge 99th Infantry. He took great pride in serving his country. He was a life long member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge.
Friends may call on Sunday, November 12, 2006 from 6 to 9 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA.
Graveside funeral services and Interment will be held on Monday, November 13, 2006 at 10:30 am.
