Harvey Smallwood's Obituary
Harvey Aldridge Smallwood, 73, lifelong resident of Loudoun County died on Saturday May 7th 2011 in Lovettsville, VA. Mr. Smallwood was born September 23rd 1937 in Lucketts, VA to the late Howard Preston and Donnie May Fletcher Smallwood. His wife Doris also predeceased him in 2004. He graduated from Loudoun County High School with the class of 1957. Mr. Smallwood served his country in the U.S. National Guard. He worked with Giant Foods Grocery in Leesburg for 32 years before retiring in 1998. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Lovettsville.
Mr. Smallwood is survived by his two children: Lewis Smallwood of Brandon, MS, Mae Starke of Lovettsville; three grandchildren: Tyler Smallwood, Shelby Smallwood, Cody Starke; two sisters: Barbara Simpson of Sterling, Jane Johnson of Falls Church, VA; a brother: Henry Smallwood of Jacksonville, FL and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the Brown/Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 34 East Broad Way in Lovettsville on Monday May 9th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00am with Pastor Andreas Armstrong officiating. Interment will be in Lovettsville Union Cemetery.
