Hazel Bartlett's Obituary
Mrs. Hazel Mae Shock Bartlett, 88, formerly of Lovettsville, Virginia, died Monday, March 19, 2007, at Loudoun Nursing & Rehabilitation in Leesburg, VA.
Born on October 7, 1918 in Baltimore, MD; she was the daughter of the late Henry Shock and the late Mamie (Heller) Shock. Hazel moved to Lovettsville in 1947 after the marriage of she and her husband, the late George L. Bartlett, who predeceased her in 1988.
Mrs. Bartlett was a teller for Farmers & Mechanics Bank in Brunswick, MD for over thirty years. She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her cousin Kermit Fillner of Lovettsville, VA; her niece Vanessa Everhart of Hamilton, VA; plus other family and friends. Mrs. Bartlett was also predeceased by her brother Arthur Shock, and her sister-in-law: Vesper Bartlett in 2001.
Graveside funeral services and interment will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Lovettsville Union Cemetery, Lovettsville, VA.
Donations may be made in her memory to Lovettsville Vol. Fire & Rescue, PO Box 123, Lovettsville, VA 20180. Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun Funeral Chapels, Lovettsville, Virginia.
