Helen Finlayson Morris' Obituary
Miss Helen Finlayson Morris, 94, of Aldie, VA, formerly of Quincy, Mass., died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at her home in Aldie, VA.
Born on September 30, 1911 in Summerville, Mass. She was the daughter of the late Alexander Morris and the late Helen (Finlayson) Morris.
Helen was a graduate of Perry Normal School and a graduate of Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, Mass. Miss Morris taught third grade with Quincy Public Schools, Quincy, Mass. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Quincy, where she was a choir member and former Sunday school teacher. Helen and her moved to Aldie ten years ago to be close to family and attended Little River Baptist Church.
She is survived by her cousins Chris Hutcheson of Aldie, VA, and Edith Miller of Quincy, and Chris Lea of Edinboro, Scottland. She is also survived by great cousins Christina Hutcheson of Aldie, William B. Hutcheson of Amissville, VA, Mark Daniel Hutcheson & Victoria DeMichele both of Aldie.
Helen was predeceased by her sister Margaret C. Morris in 2001.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 11:00 am, at the Little River Baptist Church on Braddock Road, Aldie, VA, with Pastor Jesse Parker officiating.
A second memorial service will be held May 13, 2006 at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Quincy, Mass. Interment will follow in Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy, Mass.
