Henry Lee Finch Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Henry Lee Finch, Jr., age 71, of Herndon, Va., passed away on Friday, December 9, 2011. Mr. Finch was born on April 4, 1940 in Danville, Va. He was the son of the late Henry Lee Finch, Sr. and the late Mary Elizabeth Norman Finch. Mr. Finch received his Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Education in 1962 and his Master's degree in Agricultural Economics in 1964, both from Virginia Tech. He served his country honorably in the United States Army and retired from the Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel.
He was employed as a commercial banker for 43 years and retired from Freedom Bank of Va., Fairfax, Va. in December of 2010.
Mr. Finch was a member of the Leesburg Rotary Club and served the club as President in 2003. He was a member of Columbia Baptist Church, where he served on the Finance Committee and had been a Deacon since 2004.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 48 years, Barbara Ann Jacobs Finch of Herndon; two daughters, Susan Michelle Finch of San Diego, CA; and Elizabeth Finch Parker of Newport, RI; 3 grandchildren, Lindsey, Emily, and Connor.
Friends called on Monday December 12, 2011 from 7 to 9 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, Leesburg, Va.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 2 p.m., at Columbia Baptist Church 103 West Columbia Street, Falls Church, Va.
Graveside services and interment followed on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 2pm at the Highland Burial Park, Danville, Va.
