Hilda Ball Marcus' Obituary
Hilda Ball Marcus, 86, of Leesburg, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Sunrise Assisted Living at Countryside.
She was born in Leesburg to the late Louis Ball and Lillian Rollison Ball. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marie Embrey and Belva Marcus.
Hilda worked for many years at C&P Telephone Co before retiring from AT&T in 1989. She was a member of Loudoun Business and Professional Women’s Club and the Telephone Company Pioneers organization. She was an active volunteer at the Inova Loudoun Nursing and Rehab Center in Leesburg until 2010 and an active member of the Leesburg Church of the Nazarene. Her love of God and her family were the driving forces in her life.
She is survived by her son, M. Boyd Marcus, Jr, and his wife, Karen, of Richmond; daughters, Gale Breeden and her husband, Michael, of Woodbridge and Denise Taylor and her husband, Gary, of Point of Rocks, MD; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who were like her children.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 16 2013 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gary Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Leesburg Union Cemetery.
