Howard Charles Warner's Obituary
Howard Charles Warner, Jr., 77, of Gettysburg, PA, died on Friday, January 16, 2009 in Gettysburg. He was formerly of Leesburg and Punta Gorda, Fl. Mr. Warner was born May 20th, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Howard Charles Warner and Edith Caroline Daum Warner. He graduated with the Class of 1949 from Girard College, Philadelphia. Mr. Warner served his country in the U.S.A.F. as an Airman 1st Class during the Korean War. He received the Korean Service Medal and was discharged in 1952. Mr. Warner was active in local politics in Maryland and Charlotte County, FL. He is a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd Anglican Orthodox Church, Paris, VA.
He is survived by four children: Kyle Edward Warner, MD, Robert Talmadge Warner, WI, Janet Lynn Bell, FL, Richard Charles Warner, TN;
9 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, Leesburg, VA with Rev. Larry Morrison Officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, family asks that a donation be given in his name to a not-for-profit organization in your area, or the Gettysburg Hospital Foundation, Children's Health Fund.
