There are just so many memories of Ida Feaster. Where to start? She and my mom would sometimes watch each other's kids. I never saw Ida angry or stern; but there was one time when I was maybe 4 or 5 years old when she was watching me. I was playing with play dough. She told me not to mix the colors; but I couldn't resist pinching off a little of the dark pink and a little bit of the white. In my excitement over the result, I had to show her. (why do kids do that?) I got a spanking for it! LOL
