Idalia Loretta Foster's Obituary
Idalia “Iddy” Loretta Foster was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on May 28, 2023, at age 95.
She was one of 4 children born to Olive Clarke-Moaze and Sinclaire Waithe in Bridgetown, Barbados. She met her husband, Ottley Foster in 1955 and together, they had 3 children: Maxine, Andrea, and Larry. Her grandsons are Andre Squires, Jon Squires of Barbados, Gary Foster, and Dane Foster of West Virginia; great grandmother to Aaron, Khalid and Cali Squires of Barbados. Mother in law of Dr. Melissa Butts, of West Virginia and Rev. Michael Squires of Barbados. There is also an extended family located in the USA, Canada, UK, Holland, Barbados, and Curacao, whose names are too numerous to mention here.
A memorial service will be held at Loudoun Funeral Chapel in Leesburg, VA on Wednesday June7, 2023, from 4-8PM. Idalia will be flown to her home country Barbados where a funeral service will be held at Bethel Methodist Church, Barbados in July 2023.
