Irene Brohm Golson's Obituary
Mrs. Irene Brohm Golson, 82 of Sterling, Virginia passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015, at Reston Hospital in Reston, Va.
Irene was born on Saturday, December 31, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio. She was a daughter of the late Arthur Bakos and the late Marguerite Lucas Bakos. She was the wife of the late Charles Golson, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2012.
She was a graduate of University of Miami and had a master’s degree in Geology.
She was a pioneer in the Oil fields as a female Geologist.
She then went to work for the federal government and worked for the DOD.
She had a love of painting and gardening and also love of pets. She was a supporter of the humane society and the St Joseph Indian School for orphans.
She leaves her family to cherish her memory her family including her son, Stuart Brohm of Sterling, VA, daughters, Catherine James of Trenton, FL, Frances Moore of Lake Hills, TX and Christina Brohm Williams of Mary Esther, FL.
Funeral services and interment were held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
