Irmgard Matilda Henderson's Obituary
Irmgard “Irmi” M. Henderson (Age 81), passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016.
Survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Wayne and children, Uwe, Diana and Clint, her sister Lisa of NY, 2 brothers, 1 sister in Germany, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Born in Babstadt, Germany in 1935, she came to Alexandria, VA in 1964 with Wayne where they lived until moving to Sterling, VA in 1975.
She worked for AAFES at Cameron Station until retirement in 1993.
She was a devoted wife and mother who always put family first, ahead of herself and
was filled with love and life. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, birds, walks and spending time with family and friends. She will be missed dearly by all of us. She was a very special and amazing woman and a wonderful cook especially German cuisine.
A Memorial Service will be held at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cir SE, Leesburg, VA 20175 on May 14th at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Cancer Research.
