Isobel Jeanne Barron's Obituary
Isobel Jeanne Barron died on Sunday, April 19, 2020. Born on Saturday, May 28, 1927 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Joseph Barron and Hazel Donohoe Barron.
Isobel graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. Isobel served in United States Air Force as a nurse from 1950-1952. She also worked as a private duty nurse. She received her Master’s degree from Columbia University. She taught nursing in California and she retired from teaching nursing at Baltimore Community College. She lived at Ocean Pines in Maryland from the mid 1980’s to the late 1990’s to be close to the beach which was her most favorite place to be. In 1998 she moved to Leesburg, VA. Isobel loved traveling around the world with friends and family.
Isobel is predeceased by her parents, brothers, James and Thomas and her sisters, Martha Bondurant and Catherine Craig. She is survived by 5 nieces and 5 nephews, 23 great nieces and 18 great nephews, 16 great great nieces and 17 great great nephews all of whom adored her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on June 11, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Ashburn, VA and interment will be June 12, in New Cathedral Cemetery of Baltimore, MD .
