Jack Nichols Mogus Born December 27th, 1934 and passed away peacefully at home on Saturday September 30th, 2017. Jack is survived by his sons, Craig, Curt, and Erik, as well as 6 grandchildren, Patrick, Tyler, Erin, Megan, Austin Read Obituary

I remember when my Dad Frank, then wife Kathy, my sons Shane (5) and Jared (3) at the time back in 1996 after my Mother MaryAnn passed we came to Virginia for a visit. Uncle Jack was really hospitable and showed us all of DC and the Smithsonian museum. A great time!
When in the museum we lost Jared and Uncle Jack quickly took charge organizing us into a small search party. We found him outside the main room, down the hall and trying to leave the building in a panic (understandably) being of such a young age. What a relief that one was when we recovered him. My Uncles response paid off fast in a very gut wrenching few moments. Craig was with us as well; the others out of town.
Playing football in my Uncles back yard on another visit in my teens with Craig and Curt (zippy) was fun. Not certain Erik was born yet. Going round and round kidding with talk of the Steelers 21-16 Monday night win over the Redskins along with Aunt Carol was very memorable. I think they both enjoyed however, the separate paintings my Dad gave them of a Cowboy with a Redskin chasing him with a hatchet. I'm sure that rivalries still going on today.
Yes in busy times we hadn't seen one another often, but when we did it seemed as though we had a lifetimes worth the excitement.
Thanks Uncle jack. Per a talk we once had, maybe you know now if wormholes and life out there do really exist in this vast Universe? Love ya. Bruce Lux :-)
Craig, Curt, and Erik, thank you for your father. May you seek solace in one another and in all who loved him. What an honor it was to have known a legend. Blackjack was a man of true integrity and was compassionate to everyone he befriended. He was forthright in his approach to anything that came his way. He mentored me in a fashion none like I had ever seen. Everyone who knew Jack needed him in their lives. You will be in my heart forever Jack and I'll see you again and we'll enjoy another cup of coffee.

A guy you could count on especially during the closing moments of a wonderful airline. He was a friend when it counted and leaves nothing but good memories
both as a gentle , thinking friend and a pilot.
Touch the face of god Jack --- blue skies , shiny side up and nothing but tail winds on your trip . It' non-stop with no pause in Atlanta ---------I'll be seeing you later .
