Jacob Patrick Lough's Obituary
JACOB PATRICK LOUGH, 26 of Morgantown, West Virginia passed away at his home on January 16, 2024, in Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born on Wednesday, May 7, 1997 in Leesburg, VA; the son of Brad and Terri Lough.
Jacob is a 2008 graduate of Sanders Corner ES, a 2011 graduate of Eagle Ridge MS, and a 2015 graduate of Stone Bridge HS where he played varsity basketball. He then went on to James Madison University (Go DUKES) and graduated in 2019 with a dual major in Finance and Hospitality, Sport and Recreation Management. From there he went on to graduate with his Masters of Science degree in Sports Management from West Virginia University (Let’s Go Mountaineers).
His studies led him to his beloved job with Learfield working at West Virginia University as a graduate intern and then full-time employee. His occupation allowed him to be up close and personal to sports of all kinds from football, basketball, baseball and then still have time to take in a few soccer and lacrosse games. Jacob always made time for his many friends that he met along the way from high school, JMU, WVU and even his CrossFit group. And, yes, they would all have to listen to him talk about all the sporting events that he had been watching. Jacob was known for his warm and genuine smile, caring heart, big hugs, loyalty to friends and family and his fun-loving personality. His smile and hugs will be truly missed.
Jacob is survived by his parents, Brad and Terri. He is also survived by his loving and wonderful brothers, Zach, Bubba and Mitchell. He is survived by his grandparents, Marv and Kathy Lough, Aunts and Uncles, Sharon Bowen (Jim), Michael Staverman (Margie), Kathy Krumpelman (Kevin), Rob Staverman (Leslie), Lisa Weber (Dan), Greg Lough (Rory) and Todd Lough (Jen). In addition, he was survived by his loving cousins; Michael Staverman, Steven Staverman, Amanda Stemm (Chris), Miley Stemm, Paisley Stemm, Kori Krumpelman, Kamrin Krumpelman, Kyle Krumpelman (Gaby), Kraig Krumpelman, Lindsay Weber, Ethan Weber, Connor Lough (Bridie), Maddie Lough and Mallory Lough. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Larry and Joyce Staverman.
