As we celebrate Jacob's life today, please know his classmates from 1995 York High School will miss him so much. We are grateful for his friendship and kindness. He was a huge part of our band and musicals and we will keep those memories close.
I met Jake through my late husband Brian when they were roommates in the Air Force. I have countless memories of our time (mostly partying) together. Going to Dave Matthews concerts, jumping on the trampoline, attending friends weddings and just enjoying life in our 20’s. We gave Jake the nickname Jakeus which still holds a great deal of affinity every time we say it. Jakeus was one of the nicest and upstanding men I have ever known. He loved his family and the friendships he had were long lasting. I will miss his reviews on the latest sci-fi or adventure movie and seeing his posts with his boys. One thing we had in common as we aged is taking our kids to the movies and sharing our thoughts. I will miss that. I already do! I’m so saddened by his absence on this earth. He will be missed greatly! Lots of hugs and prayers for strength and peace go out to Becky and the boys.
Jake was one of the youth group leaders at Arcola United Methodist Church when I started attending back in 2011. I used to drive myself to church at 16 years old. I am 30 years old now, and I will never forget how kind he was to me and every other child who walked through the door. He had a great laugh. He challenged us to dig deep and go further in our service to others. I am forever grateful for his mentorship. Thank you, Jake. Rest in Peace. My sincere condolences to his family.
I worked with Jake while I with Booz Allen. He was the epitome of hard work and professionalism. His contributions were key to our work! All my best to his family!

I will never forget our first meeting over a decade ago and how much Jake put your and Ian’s needs before considering his own. He was always incredibly thoughtful, kind, sincere, humble, giving, caring, funny, brilliant (I could go on and on) and such an amazing role model in every aspect - as a follower of Christ, husband, father, friend, family member, and coworker. He is missed on this side of Heaven but I hope you find peace knowing he is with Jesus.

Jake was one of my first supervisors in the Air Force. He was smart, kind, and caring. He taught me how to become a better Airman and person. I was fortunate enough to keep in contact with him for a large portion of my career and once my career was over, he helped set up a retirement celebration for me. Whenever I saw him there was always a smile on his face.
I know he is dearly missed by all that had the opportunity to interact with him. My condolences to his family as they will be without a great husband, father, son. I believe he is in a better place where there is no more suffering and sorrow. He is looking down upon all of his loved ones with a great big smile. Love you Jake and until we meet again brother.

Jake and I were stationed at Langley together and we deployed after 9/11.
A memory that stands out is that we worked an air show in 2002 and had a lot of fun with it. I remember him always being positive, friendly and willing to help with anything.
