Biruta Akerbergs Hansen and Kai Hansen. We just learned of Jim’s death and wish to share our sorrow and a wonderful memory of him and his wife Sally, with whom I (Biruta) worked across a desk at the Smithsonian for many years. Sally and Jim hosted our wedding at their beautiful house in Arlington,VA in 1981. We are forever thankful to him and Sally for that. We have been living in Liverpool, PA. thankful to him and Sally for that.
