James M. Pfiester
Virginia Beach- James M. Pfiester, age 87 went to be with the Lord Friday June 1, 2007 at the residence of his daughter. Mr. Pfiester was a resident of Lansdowne, Virginia. Mr. Pfiester was an Administrator in the Civil Service with a dedicated career of 34 years before his retirement. He was a member of PAX Catholic Community in McLean, VA, The Knights of Columbus and a Lobbyist for AARP.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Louise Metzger Pfiester.
He is survived by his wife Catherine Pfiester; his daughters Mary P. Bailey of Ann Arbor, MI, Carole P. Jennings of Silver Springs, MD, Sharon A. Coleman, Susan P. Anders, both of Virginia Beach and Lorraine F. Moore of Stafford, VA; stepdaughter Noreen Roubian of New Heartford, NY; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren with the 3rd on the way.
A mass of Resurrection will be conducted by Father James E. Parke, Monday at Noon in Church of the Ascension, 4853 Princess Anne Rd., Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A second service will be held in Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Sterling, VA Wednesday at 11:00 AM with interment to follow a in National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA. The Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Loudoun Funeral Chapel in Leesburg, VA
