James Lee Riley's Obituary
James Lee Riley, 93 of Lovettsville, VA, died at Inova Loudoun Hospital on Sunday, February 11th.
He was born in Hamilton, VA on August 31, 1930 to Harvey and Goldie Riley. He was a lifetime member of the Purcellville Volunteer Fire Department along with being a special deputy under Robert Legard. James also was a special game warden with the State of Virginia and was a proud member of the US Navy Seabees. James was a lifelong farmer who sold produce and Christmas trees for over 30 years at the corner of Route 9 and 662.
James was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Charles, Fred, George, Richard and Raymond and sisters, Katherine, Mabel and Mary. He is survived by his wife Marsha Riley and children Cheryl Riley Bowers, Jamie Riley, Chris Riley, Kristin Riley, grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 2pm to 3:30pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, VA 20175.
A memorial service will follow at 3:30pm on Friday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Lovettsville Fire & Rescue or Inova Loudoun Hospital Lights of Love.
