John And Norma Dear
John and I feel as though we have lost a family member. We definitely have lost a treasured friend. Jim and Geri were long-time clients of John's, but the relationship extended much beyond business.. As John's spouse, I always knew when Jim was on the phone, I might as well forget plans, meals or whatever else was on the schedule and pull up a chair, because John would be on the phone for hours, discussing business, politics and various arcane subjects! Personally, one of the sweetest recent memories I recall was Jim's calling while we were on vacation, ostensibly to discuss his frustration over a delayed tax issue. When we mentioned it was my birthday, Jim spontaneously broke into his rendition of "Happy Birthday." Business was forgotten!
Jim was one of the most original, challenging, insightful and cantankerous individuals who ever lived. His passing leaves our world less blessed and our hearts aching from loss. John and Norma Dear
