James L. Timbers, Jr.'s Obituary
JAMES LESLIE TIMBERS, JR., 40, of Ashburn, Virginia died on Monday January 11, 2010 in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Timbers was born June 5th, 1969 in Warrenton, Virginia. He was raised in Middleburg, Virginia and loved playing baseball and basketball from a young age. During High School at Loudoun Valley he played both before graduating in 1987. James started all four years with George Mason University’s baseball team. He graduated from Mason in 1991 with a degree in Sociology, a minor in Economics, and was working on his MBA in Business Management at Strayer University. James has been involved with Loudoun County baseball programs and Diamond Elite in Sterling, VA for years. He has been the assistant baseball coach at Stone Bridge High School since it opened in 2000. James was presently working with Loudoun County Mental Health Substance Abuse Developmental Services as the Developmental Services Program Director. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, coach and friend to many.
James is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Pamela Bryant Timbers of Ashburn; one son: James L. Timbers III of Ashburn; his parents: James L. Sr. and Carla Anderson Timbers of Middleburg; brother: Chris I. Timbers of Bristow, VA; his mother in law: Helen Bryant of Sterling, VA and numerous other family members and friends.
Friends may call at First Mount Olive Baptist Church, 216 Loudoun Street, Leesburg, VA on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of services at 11: 00 with Rev. Harold S. Stinger officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Annex Methodist Cemetery.
