Jammie Lane's Obituary
MR. JAMMIE LANE, 44, of Leesburg, Virginia since 1989 departed this life tragically on Thursday March 26, 2009 in Leesburg. Mr. Lane was born November 5, 1964 in Front Royal, Virginia to the late Granville Lane Sr. and Vermel Williams Lane. His daughter Dawn Allen, one sister, Ellen Williams and a brother, Daved Lane also predeceased him. He was raised in Front Royal and graduated from Warren County High with the class of 1984. Mr. Lane was a landscaper with McDonald Enterprises for the past 11 years. He was an active member of First Mount Olive Baptist Church, singing in the senior choir and the men’s chorus. Mr. Lane was a friend to everyone he met. He loved animals, spending time with his family and friends and his true passion was fishing.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 ½ years, Youdella Lane of Leesburg; two daughters: Katherine Thompson (Roland) of Leesburg, Lakeva Whitmore of Front Royal; eight sisters: Estelle Ford (Shirley) of Warrenton, Jennie Champ of Warrenton, Bessie Grigsby of Amissville, Alice Williams of Woodstock, VA, Mary Folks (Joe), Jane Lane, Brenda Jackson, Audrey Lane all of Front Royal; four brothers: Ellery Lane, Granville Lane Jr., Richard Lane, Lindsey Lane all of Front Royal; Seven Grandchildren: Tyreek and Kishaun Allen, Nevaeh and Briajah Thompson, Nikea, Kyra, and Samya Whitmore and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call at the First Mount Olive Baptist Church, 216 Loudoun St., Leesburg, VA on Saturday, April 4th, 2009 from 9:00 am until the time of services at 11:00am. Rev. Harold S. Stinger will be officiating. Interment will be in Rock Hill Cemetery near Airmont, VA.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First Mount Olive Baptist Church- Senior Choir Fund.
