JANE CAROLYNE CATE BASSETT, 82 of Sterling, Virginia died on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at home, Born January 25, 1944, in Brentwood, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Carl Cate and the late Frieda Cate. She was the wife of ROBERT K. BASSETT.
Surviving are son, Robert C. Bassett and his wife Michele daughter, Lianne Evans and her husband Jeff, twin brother, John Cate and his wife Brenda, sisters, Sandra Cortemanche and her husband Bernard, and Eileen Dalton. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Brandi Evans, Tyler Evans, Hannah Evans, Hailey Bassett Leith, Riley Bassett, and Savannah Bassett She was predeceased by brothers, Carl Cate, Myron Cate, and Alvin Cate
Viewing and visitation will start at 11 am with a memorial service beginning at 1 pm on Monday June 29, 2026, at the Loudoun Chapel funeral home on Catoctin Circle in Leesburg, Virginia.
Interment will be at 2 pm on Tuesday June 30,2026 in Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury, Pennsylvania.
