I had the honor of working with Jane as a colleague with Loudoun County Public Schools. Over the years we worked closely on several projects. She was a joy to work with, always positive with good ideas. The current library system of LCPS owes much to the hard work and vision that Jane brought to her position as Library Supervisor. Bill, I trust that you will gain a measure of comfort from the memories of the 58 years you spent together. May she rest in peace.

Jane was such a wonderful person. But I confess I am biased, she was family. Jane was my second cousin on my mother's (Smart) side of our family. We met many years ago when I and another cousin decided to host a Smart Family reunion. Jane was all in and became one of our most beloved participants. She brought so much past knowledge of our Smart heritage. Jane was kind, smart (no pun intended) and funny! She will be missed. To Bill we send our deepest sympathies and hope you find comfort in the many shared memories you and Jane created over your years together. And to Algene, we also hope you find comfort in memories of your life with your baby sister.

Jane Bosley brought our public school libraries into their modern state. Her devotion to students and teachers was at the core of her life as an educator. She will be missed among her professional colleagues and the community in which she lived. I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the services for her as I will be traveling out of town. May God‘s comfort be with Bill and all whose lives she touched, and may she rest in peace.
