Jane Ann Runfola's Obituary
Jane Ann Keating Runfola passed away on Nov. 22, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was 75.
Jane was born on August 12, 1948, in New York City. She was one of seven siblings in a strong Irish Catholic family. They moved often due to her father’s military career, and Jane particularly cherished memories of their time in Massachusetts and in Japan.
Jane was working for the federal government when she met her husband, Peter. They were married on July 9, 1977, and had three children, Kathleen, Ann, and Timothy. Jane was a loving and devoted mother and wife who did everything for her family.
She was known for her amazing cooking and baking skills. She made dozens of sweet treats for her kids and their friends, her husband's office, and all of the family gatherings and holidays.
After her children grew up, Jane was blessed to become a loving grandmother to six grandchildren: Madelyn, Gavin, Cecilia, Alexandra, Caleb, and Jack. They all lived nearby, and she was very involved in their lives, from performing a tap dance routine with her oldest granddaughter to visiting Italy with her infant grandson. The grandkids adored their “Mimi.”
Jane was an incredibly strong and courageous woman whose own doctor cried when she went into hospice care. She was beautiful, loving, caring, kind, and fun and will be sorely missed by all. She left this earth far too soon, but she is no longer in pain and has now been reunited with her parents, Bill and Mary Keating and with her sister, Eileen Bolen.
One day, we all will be reunited with her in heaven. Until then, we pray that she is resting in eternal Peace with our Lord.
