Janet M. Eckert's Obituary
JANET MARGUERITE ECKERT, 84, of Harpers Ferry, WV sadly passed on January 6, 2025.
Janet was born on January 24,1940 in Washington, DC. A daughter of the late Everett Heath Mann and Doris Elaine Bradford. She graduated from Wakefield High School…
Throughout her career, Janet worked in the accounting field as a Certified Public Accountant. She owned and operated her own business for 60 years. For years she was a member of the Virginia Society of CPA and CPA Affiliates. In 1991, Janet was appointed by Governor Douglas Wilder to the Virginia Board of Accountancy. She served on the board for four years.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Charles Eckert, in 2005 and her second husband George Kautz in 2019.
Janet is survived by her son Stephen Eckert, daughter Cheryl Johnson (Scott), and three stepdaughters Kellie Kautz Cardenas (Cisco), Hailie Kautz, and Bailie Kautz.
From her children, Janet was given ten grandchildren, Ashley Eckert, Stephanie Eckert (Marcos), James Bentley (Shona), Alexis Bentley Wilson (John), Lillian Bentley Jenners (Luke), Angela Rangel, Henry Cardenas, Samatha Cardenas, Harmonie Kautz, Melodie Kautz, and three great grandchildren Ian Eckert, Charles Wilson, and Rylie Wilson.
Funeral Services for Janet will be held privately on January 24, 2025, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel. Interment will be held in Union Cemetery.
