Janice Ruth Allison's Obituary
JANICE “Janney” RUTH ALLISON, 81, of Berryville, VA, passed on April 10, 2026.
Born on June 27, 1944, in Taswell, VA she was the daughter of the late Henry Mabe and Audrey Mabe.
Janice is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years Bill Allison, son Tinker, daughter Judy Ann, parents Henry Mabe and Audrey Mabe, siblings Jackie Mabe, Bob Mabe, Leo Mabe, Jean Hinkle and Wanda James.
She is survived by her children Audrey Sissy Allison Maddox (Billy), Doyle “Spanky” Allison (Virginia), and Adam Ray Allison (Tina) as well as many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
Janice (Jenney) worked for 25 years at Catoctin Elementary School in the kitchen. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards and used to be an avid Bingo player. Janice also put her family first; her children and husband were her life. She enjoyed having a garden and canning, she loved to make quilts and embroidery; and she loved her Elvis music.
The Allison family will receive guests for visitation on Friday April 17, 2026 from 10:00Am to 11:00Am, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cir. SE Leesburg, VA 20175. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00Am at Loudoun Funeral Chapel. Janice will be laid to rest at Lovettsville Union Cemetery.
