Jean Audrey Runge's Obituary
Jean Audrey Runge, age 87, of Reston, VA, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mildred (Salkaln) Grube. She was preceded in death by her husband Lt. Col. Harry Vincent Runge. In addition to being a devoted Military spouse, she also served as a Support Operations Officer with the Central Intelligence Agency. She was an avid gardener and self-proclaimed “flower junkie.” Originally from New York, and in the spirit of the words of her favorite singer, Frank Sinatra, “I did it my way.”
She will be greatly missed by her surviving children, son Kurt L. Runge of Fuquay Varina, NC, and daughter Karen Runge Loesch of Reston, VA, and three granddaughters: Shannon K. Runge, Sara R. Donohoe and Katherine H. Loesch.

A graveside service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at 11:00am on Monday, 28 December 2020.
Due to COVID restrictions and to insure the safety of family and friends, the family will donate to Jean’s favorite charities in lieu of hosting a reception.
