Jean D. Salem, 86, of Reston, Virginia, died on June 25, 2008. Formerly of Williamsburg, Virginia, and Wellesley, Massachusetts, Mrs. Salem grew up in Endwell, New York. A homemaker, she is survived by her husband of 64 years, John D. Salem; daughters, Deborah J. Salem, Lovettsville, Virginia, and Melissa A. Taggart, Reston; sister-in-law, Joan R. Salem, Lakewood, New Jersey; son-in-law, Jeffrey M. Taggart, Reston; and granddaughters, Laura M. Taggart, Brookline, Massachusetts, and Elizabeth N. Taggart, New York City.
Burial in Endicott, New York will be private. A memorial service will be held later in the year in Virginia.
