Jeanette M. Weedon's Obituary
Jeanette M. Weedon, 78, of Leesburg, VA, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.
Jeanette Marie (McCuin) Weedon was born on September 14, 1936 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton, VA. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ray McCuin of Gainesville, VA. Jeanette (also known as Janet) grew up in Gainesville, VA and graduated in 1955 from Osbourn High School. In 1958, she married Jack S. Weedon of Dahlgren, VA. They were married for 42 years until his death in 2000.
She is survived by her two brothers Stuart McCuin of Gainesville, VA and Gordon McCuin of Nokesville, VA; her children Pat Cook and her husband, Roger of Manassas, VA, Brenda Thompson of Seattle, WA, and Jack Weedon and his wife Trish of Ashburn, VA; her grandchildren, Kaylie Groenhout, Brett Brannan, Jennie Stabler, Holly Haley, Wade Stabler, Jack Weedon III, Alexis Weedon, and Nick Weedon; and four great grandchildren.
Jeanette worked for the Bureau of Ships (now Naval Sea Systems Command), Internal Revenue Service and Loudoun County Commissioner's Office. She retired from Loudoun County in 2007.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel.
A funeral service to celebrate Jeanette’s life was held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Wishmyer officiating.
Burial followed at Leesburg Union Cemetery.
