Liela and I were sad to hear of Jerry's passing after his hard fought battle against his illness. Our condolences to Jerry's wonderful family and friends.
We met Jerry and his family in the early days of the Washington Area Girls soccer league. Knowing and working with Jerry in youth soccer was a great pleasure and years of fun.
Since those early days, we occassionally saw Jerry and Carol on the soccer fields rooting their grandaughter on. We would talk about how those Braddock Road Cougars used to do it.
Jerry had an amazingly positive attitude as he fought a hard battle against his illness. Jerry, thanks for being you. It was our privelege to know you. Rest in peace.

Carol Anne, when I think back on the people who have influenced my life, I can't help but think of Jerry. It’s an honor to have lived in his world and he is a great example of what it means to be a man - whether as the spiritual leader of your family, loving husband to you, or faithful father and grandfather to the kids.
Though I can’t be there Saturday, my thoughts will be with you and the Family.##imported-begin##John Adams##imported-end##

Carol and Family:
I am so sorry to see Jerry lose his most difficult battle with cancer and know in my heart that he is now watching over us all. I will always remember the fun times with you and Jerry and the kids during outings and holidays ... great fun and lots good family bonding. Also remember our surprise joint birthday party at your house in the garage ... neither of us really ready to admit our ages. Jerry is a timeless reminder that gentleness and a loving manner is what is missing in our world today ... he now is in a better and peaceful place where all is loving and a smile is for eternity. Sparkey also sends his love from doggie heaven.
God Bless you Jerry and your whole family. We'll dearly miss you.

Jerry Rowzie was a wonderful, kind and generous man. I am so grateful that I had the privilege of knowing him through his amazing family. What an amazing legacy he has left through his children and grandchildren. I am praying for their comfort, and for Carol's--God is near to the brokenhearted.
