Jerry Thomas Crippen's Obituary
JERRY THOMAS CRIPPEN, 65 of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, formerly of Sterling, Virginia, died on Sunday, February 13th 2011 in Arlington, Virginia. Mr. Crippen was born May 6th 1945 in Arlington, Virginia to the late Seth Henry and Helen Dorothy Staunton Crippen. A sister ,Barbara Woodlief also predeceased him. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army. Mr. Crippen was an officer with the Capital Police Department before opening his own business. He operated Crippen’s Lawn Service in Sterling, Virginia for the past 32 years.
Mr. Crippen is survived by his companion: Selina M. Mubika of Leesburg, Virginia; a sister: Helen Crippen; two brothers: Seth and John Crippen; two nephews: David Woodlief, Steve Melson and a niece, Janet C. Davis.
Friends may call on Monday, February 21st 2011 at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE in Leesburg from 10:00am until time of services at 11:00am with Rev. Ron Sage officiating. Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery, Culpeper, VA.
