Jess Clark's Obituary
Mr. Jess A. “Jessie” Clark, 73, of Lucketts, VA, died November 18, 2006 at Inova Loudoun Hospital on Cornwall Street, Leesburg, VA. A son of the late Jess J. Clark and the late Bonnie Hayes Clark. He was born and raised in Montezuma, NC. Mr. Clark served his country in the US Navy and was stationed in Norfolk, VA. Mr. Clark worked for the U.S. Steel Mill for 11 years. Then drove a truck for Rite Aid Corp. in Shirmanstown, PA.
Jess can best be remembered in the Lucketts’ community as Mr. Jessie the driver of Loudoun County school bus # 188, which he drove until retiring in 2002 due to disability.
Mr. Clark was an active member of the Lucketts Vol. Fire Company until becoming unable.
He is survived by his wife Deborah Athey- Clark of Lucketts; four children: Deborah Wade of Mechanicsburg, PA, Victoria Gracey of Lewisberry, PA, Brenda Clark and Michael Clark both of Camphill, PA; step children: Frank Fitchett of Lucketts, Victoria “Tori” Athey of the home; sister Peggy Jo Pavlosky of Sykesville, MD; brothers Arnold Clark of Fort Walton Beach, FL, and Charles Clark of Newland, NC; eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
Jess is also survived by his former wife and friend Lucy Clark of Camphill, PA, and his 24-7 companion and best friend Bear.
Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA, where friends may call on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral services will also be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Furnace Mountain Cemetery, Lucketts, VA.
Donations may be made in “Jessie’s” memory to the Lucketts Volunteer Fire Company 42367 Lucketts Road, Leesburg, VA 20176 or to the Lucketts Elementary PTA.
