Jimmie W. Johnston Jr.'s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Jimmie Walker Johnston Jr. of Ashburn Village, VA announces his passing at the age of 58 after struggling with Alzheimer’s Disease for many years.
Jimmie grew up in Locust Valley, Long Island, New York. He graduated from Locust Valley High School in 1980 and subsequently went to State University of New York in Oneonta and then Polytechnic University in Farmingdale, NY graduating with a degree in electrical engineering and physics.
In 1986, Jimmie took an engineering position with McDonnell Douglas in Huntington Beach, CA. In 1994, he moved to northern Virginia and worked for Booz Allen and Hamilton for 17 years.
He is survived by his wife, Denise and sons, Ryan and Mathew. He will be fondly remembered by his mother Margaret, brothers Larry and Gary and sisters Debi and Donna, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members and dear friends. He was a loving husband, fantastic father, beloved son, amazing brother, respected uncle, caring cousin, loyal nephew and friend to countless people over a lifetime.
A virtual celebration of Jimmie’s life will be held on July 8th at 6pm. Invitations to the service will be sent by email.
