To Joie, During our time together in Norway, I came to know you as a fun loving, thoughtful, caring and generous friend. I remember the time you and John splurged on buying a big ham for a Thanksgiving dinner which you shared with us and some of your teacher friends. After eating a lot of fish, that ham was a very special treat and there were no left overs. But my favorite memory is when we were skiing in the mountains of Norway. We decided to stay in the cabin while the guys went out on another ski tour. It was April Fool's Day and you decided to melt some chocolate, take some cotton and make little balls of "candy" to fool the guys. The balls looked good, the cotton appearing to be chopped nuts. John was hesitant, but Don happily plopped on in his mouth and we thoroughly enjoyed his antics as he discovered how you fooled him.
