Johnny (that is what we sisters called him) was our only brother. He was the oldest of 6 siblings, which 5 of them were girls. He had his hands full trying to make sure we did the chores and keeping the house clean, as both parents worked. He was a wonderful brother ! I know the older sisters thought he was mean, but I didn't. One of the favorite memories I have is when the older girls finished with their chores, they started making lunch for us. John was no where to be found, so we assumed he was with his buddies playing ball somewhere (which he loved to do). The older girls came to tell us lunch was ready, but when we got to the kitchen, Johnny was running out the door with our sandwiches and drinks!! Oh they were sooo mad!! He did not come home until we were all in bed..lol. Of course, all was forgiven and we could laugh about it years later. I feel so fortunate, as I was able to spend a lot of time with Johnny, even after he was married and had children. I miss him so much already, but he is not suffering any longer. I guess what I am trying to say is, he was my hero in so many ways, and I loved him very, very much. With love, your sister Marsha.
