OBITUARY INFORMATION
JOHN M. CHRISTOS, 83, of Sterling, VA since 1985 died on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 in Leesburg, VA. Mr. Christos was born April 17, 1929 in Ashtabula, OH to the late Michael and Katherine Kokinakis Christos. He was raised in Astoria, NY and graduated St. John’s College with a Major in Biology in 1952. Shortly after graduating he served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Christos settled back in Flushing, NY and worked as a production manager for several manufacturing companies in the area. He moved to Sterling in 1985 and worked a few more years as a security officer with Hughes Aircraft at Reston, VA before retiring in 1995.
Mr. Christos is survived by his brother: Nicholas Christos (Hilda) of Ashburn, VA; a sister: Stassy Vogel (Phillip) of Hudson, FL.; three nephews a niece and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the Greek Orthodox Parish of Loudoun County, 21580 Atlantic Blvd. Bld. D Unite 160, Dulles, VA 20166 from 9:30AM until time of services at 10:30AM with Father George Alexson officiating. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, VA.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Church or the American Lung Association.
