John Richard Knespler Jr.'s Obituary
John Richard Knespler Jr, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Born in Illinois, John dedicated his career to serving as a fire sprinkler engineer. In 1975, he entered into a loving marriage that lasted for 50 years, creating a strong foundation for his family. John leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his children, Kimberly, Jayson and Jenea, as well as grandchildren Brittney, Savannah, Brian, and Brady, and great-grandchildren Alessia and Giovanni and another great grandson to be born in February .
A pillar of support and guidance, John coached Jayson in baseball for many years and found great joy in watching his children participate in sports. In 2010, John and his wife relocated to Virginia, where he embraced new adventures and cherished moments watching his grandchildren grow and excel in sports on the East Coast. His passion for cruising allowed him to explore new horizons, while his love for gardening brought him solace and joy.
Among his many interests, playing cards and dominoes with family and friends, John also found delight in swing dancing with Joan, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and joy. John Richard Knespler Jr will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to family, and zest for life. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Cir. SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175.
Friends and Family will gather immediately following the services at Lightfoot Restaurant 11 N King St Leesburg, VA 20176.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
