John Wade Marcus' Obituary
JOHN WADE MARCUS, 63 of Leesburg, Virginia passed peacefully to be home with the Lord Sunday, January 28, 2024, in Leesburg, Virginia. He was born Tuesday, October 18, 1960, in Marietta, Georgia. He was the son of the late Hugh Clinton Marcus and the late Joanne Lytle Marcus. John’s kind, generous heart endeared him to all who knew him. He was full of joy and had the wonderful ability to make everyone laugh. John loved the Lord and was all too eager to tell anyone and everyone how God saved his life. Even during his battle with cancer, he remained steadfast in his faith, grateful for each day, and reminded us that “God’s got this”.
One of John’s greatest accomplishments was operating his automotive repair shop. He loved working on cars. His customers were not just customers, they were friends. John could do anything he set his mind to and always praised God for his many talents. He loved watching football with his son, his best friend, as they cheered on the Cowboys. He was an amazing bowler and had several perfect 300 games.
John leaves many to cherish his memory including his loving wife Debbie Borntrager Marcus, son, John Clinton Marcus (Jennifer), sister, Terry Marcus Turner (Glenn), brother, Robert Marcus (Amy), grandson, Daniel (Riley), granddaughter, Hailey and great granddaughter, Autumn.
