JOHN FRANKLIN ORRISON 83, longtime resident of Leesburg, Virginia passed away at INOVA Loudoun Hospital with his family by his side on Sunday, May 5, 2013.
Mr. Orrison was born November 20, 1929 in Hamilton, Virginia to the late Ruth Brown and George Orrison. A grandson Alex also predeceased him.
He was a skilled auto body technician, employed by Ector Chevrolet which later became S&R Chevrolet. He later became manager of Leesburg Auto Body. Mr. Orrison was a devoted Scout Master, loved gardening, traveling, camping and building projects.
Mr. Orrison is predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Dolores Mildred Whitacre Orrison, who passed in Dec. of 2010. He is survived by three children: Nancy Orrison Stephenson (Ronald) of Chesterfield, Virginia, John Franklin “Jackie” Orrison, II (Teresa) of Stephens City, Virginia, and Sheri Lyn Page (Scott) of Leesburg, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA, where the family will receive guests from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 pm on Thursday, May 9, 2013.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11 am at Hamilton Baptist Church, located at 16 E Colonial Hwy Hamilton, VA 20158.
Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
