John B. Quade, age 86, of Ashburn, VA, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019, in Aldie, VA. Born Saturday, October 14, 1933 in Atlanta, Georgia, he was the son of the late Charles B. and the late Agnes (Connley) Quade. John is Read Obituary
Officer Quade was a mentor and friend to me when I was growing up in Arlington County, VA. He was the reason that I became a police officer. He was "made of the right stuff"! The world would be a much better place if there were more men like him.
Sending my deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family. When I think of Mr. Quade, I think of a true gentleman who loved his family and friends deeply. He was simply a dear man with a heart of gold. I pray that all the memories of Mr. Quade will bring joyous recollections and provide solace to all who knew him during this difficult time. He will be truly missed. Heaven has gained an angel and I know he is rejoicing being reunited with his beloved son, Jay.
John, you are being missed by many but and we shall never forget your warmth and kindness. I hope someday we shall meet again, it would be an honor.
Uncle Johnny will be miss dearly. A wise man with love in his heart for his community. I will always remember his hugs and kindness. As I got older and we both were members of a fire department we would swap stories about our adventures. God rest his sole and May our lord and savior take him into his loving arms.
I remember Mr Quade and his family Jay and Virginia. We grew up in his neighborhood and went to school with his children. He was a great man. He trained us to be safety patrols at Tuckahoe Elementary School. And used to see him at the. Demolay dances around. Arlington in the. 1970s. I became a friend of John through my son David Arthur Snider. He came into my life when I needed his cheerful, outgoing countenance as I had just lost my wife to cancer. He phoned me often and sent many cheerful messages to me through Facebook. He and I were born in that era that produced people who sincerely loved our great country passionately, respected law and order, using our talents to serve in our local community. We will all miss John immensely but heaven will be brighter because of his return

John was my AAA Safety Patrol Coordinator when I was in the 5th Grade, but I had known him from being so active at the Westover Baptist Church. It's almost an understatement to say that I had known him all of my life, and then what a privilege it was to work for him at the Police Department. John had a huge impact on thousands of children in Arlington. When I joined the Arlington Police, I knew exactly what I wanted to do because it had been modeled to me so well by John Quade.
