John Daniel Thomas' Obituary
JOHN DANIEL THOMAS, 80, of Leesburg Virginia, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at home with his wife by his side.
Danny was born Thursday, August 3, 1944 in Washington, DC. He was the only son of the late John and Elizabeth Thomas. He had two sisters, Nancy Spangler and Susan Jamison, who each passed before him. Danny was married to PATRICIA THOMAS for nearly 60 years.
Danny is survived by his wife Patricia Thomas, daughter JEI SPATOLA, and many other family and friends.
Dan had a passion for life. He was always busy with projects, and loved to build, tinker, and travel. He was a passionate Harley Davidson owner, and rode his motorcycle across the country multiple times. He made knives, brewed beer, worked on cars, and even had a ham radio license. Perhaps most importantly, Dan was a former Marine, and served in Vietnam. He was very proud of his service, and regularly reminded friends and family - “once a Marine, always a Marine”.
Memorial Services will be held on March 15th at 2:00 PM at St. James' Episcopal Church 14 Cornwall St NW, Leesburg, VA 20176.
