John Paul Ahlstrom's Obituary
Mr. John Paul Ahlstrom, 63, of Ashburn, VA, died on Wednesday, September 16, 2009.
John was born May 20, 1946 in Spokane, WA. He was the son of the late John Merel Ahlstrom and the late Frances Elisabeth Winkler Ahlstrom.
As a child in a military family, John enjoyed traveling and had the opportunity to live in a variety of places, including: Spokane, Washington; Fairbanks, Alaska; San Bernardino, California; the Philippines; and Montgomery, Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama. He relocated to Virginia in 1996, moving to Ashburn in 2000.
Mr. Ahlstrom had a life-long love for learning, reading and music.
He is survived by a devoted sister, Aleta Ahlstrom, and brother-in-law, Wayne McCreedy, of Springfield, VA, and other cousins, family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA.
