John Thomas Sherwood's Obituary
JOHN THOMAS SHERWOOD, 82, of Leisure World of Virginia since 2004, formerly of Silver Spring, Maryland for 45 years, died on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 in Leesburg, Virginia. Mr. Sherwood was born July 17th 1928 in Troy, NY to the late Clarkson and Catherine Sherwood. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Suburban Bank after 25 years of service. Mr. Sherwood is survived by his beloved wife, of almost 60 years, Ellen Lee Sherwood, two children: John Sherwood, Jr. (Teresa), Kathy Welty (Steve); three sisters: Margaret Penders, Patricia Wyman, Dorothea Sherwood; four grandchildren: Kelly, Michael, Matthew and Kyle. Services and interment are private.
