John Walter "Jay" Stapleton, III's Obituary
Mr. John Walter Stapleton, III, “Jay”, 55 of Ashburn, Virginia, formerly of Canton, MA, died on Thursday, July 30, 2009, at INOVA Loudoun Hospital Center in Lansdowne, VA.
Born June 8, 1954 in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late John Walter Stapleton, II and the late Mary Frances Gately Stapleton. Jay attended the Univ. of MA and he served his country in the United States Navy. Jay was presently employed by U. S. Post Office as a supervisor at the Dulles Processing and Distribution Center.
He is survived by his wife Gwen Louise Stapleton and he was the proud father of John Jacob Stapleton both of Ashburn, VA; he is also survived by his sisters, Karen Flavin of Dorchester, MA Priscilla DiCarli of Marshfield, MA, his niece, Tara Flavin of Dorchester, MA and he was the uncle of the late PJ Flavin.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, Virginia.
A memorial Mass will be held in Boston at a later date.
Interment will be held privately.
