Joseph D. Doiron's Obituary
Joseph Dominique Doiron, 84, of Sterling, VA, died August 7, 2015. “Joe,” son of Arsene and Senora Doiron, devoted husband of Virginia Ruth, gently passed away at home after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Ruth, daughters Lynn and Colleen, son Tom, and his beloved grandchildren, Frank, Joey, Jake, Antonia, and Jackie.
Joe was born in Lincoln, RI in 1931, spoke fluent French, and was a dedicated son to our Memere. He served in the U.S. Air Force and enjoyed a successful career in government service. With Ruth by his side, Joe traveled the world, made true-blue lifelong friends, and raised a caring and generous family. Always a kind and gentle man, “Little Bear” loved reading, long walks and laughter, hot dogs and grilled cheese sandwiches, the Redskins and the Patriots ... but above all of God’s creations, he loved his dear Ruth with unwavering passion, devotion and adoration throughout more than 57 years of marriage. Joe will be greatly missed by friends and family. Services were held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Sterling, Virginia at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Capital Caring Hospice. www.capitalcaring.org
