JOSEPH RAY LEARY's Obituary
JOSEPH RAY LEARY, 60 of Sterling, Virginia passed on Monday, May 29, 2023.
Born Sunday, May 1, 1963, in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, he was a son of RAY LEARY and JERI LEARY.
Joe was employed with Fairfax County for over 30 years, as the Aquatics Director at Reston Community Center.
In addition to his parents, he leaves his family to cherish his memory, his wife Pamela, daughter, CASEY (DERRICK) STULTZ, sons, MATT ELCESSER and TIM (LAUREN) ELCESSER; his brother, BRYAN (MARY) LEARY, sister, KATRINA (DANA) LEARY; and four grandchildren, Owen, Ciara, Adalynd, and Nikolaus. He also leaves his mother-in-law, CATHERINE STEEL and other family and friends.
The family will have a private service to celebrate Joe's life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Red Cross or Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter.
