Joseph George Maloney's Obituary
Mr. Joseph George Maloney, 72, of Leesburg, VA, passed away in Falls Church, VA on Monday, April 26, 2010.
Mr. Maloney was born on October 27, 1937 in the Bronx, NY. He was a son of the late Joseph A. Maloney and Olga Margaret Englert Maloney.
Joe went to St. Michael’s College of Vermont where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology.
He continued to Syracuse University graduate school to pursue his Masters.
In 1960, Joe was commissioned to the United States Navy to serve his country. After serving in active duty he went on to serve in the reserves earning the rank of Lt. Commander.
Mr. Maloney was employed as a Medical Salesman for Arrow International until retiring in the early 90s.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Issac Walton League. Mr. Maloney took great pride in organizing the turkey shoots each year.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Judith A. Maloney of Leesburg.
He is also survived by his daughters, Dawn Horn and her husband Scott of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Erin Maloney of Martinsburg, WV; and his two granddaughters, Natalie Ann, and Christina Ellie Horn.
