Josephine Ann McLinden's Obituary
Josephine Ann McLinden, 92 of Ashburn, Virginia passed on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at
Heritage Hall in Leesburg, Virginia surrounded by her family.
Born Sunday, December 14, 1924 in Oyster Bay, New York, she was the daughter of the late Frank Galatro and the late Filomena Verderosa Galatro. She was the wife of the late Joseph McLinden and also predeceased by her sisters, Delores, Margaret, and Rose Marie.
Jo’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She was also a wonderful gourmet cook and loved gardening, playing bridge and laughing with her many friends.
She leaves her loving family to cherish her memory including her daughter, JoAnn Holmes of Lewes, DE, her son, Russell, & daughter-in-law, Janet Holmes of Leesburg, VA; along with her three grandchildren, Natalie, Jack, and Lauren, and two nieces, Jayne and Denise. She will also be fondly remembered by her many friends and her long time caregivers Michelle Buller and Blossom Harrison.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM.
Interment will be held privately by the family.
